BMW model upgrade measures 2016

T op model of the 4 series is available from March, apart from M model, the 440i. The supercharged three-liter in-line six-cylinder has 326 hp and 450 Nm and is available in all three body styles - coupé, convertible and gran coupé. A manual 6-speed gearbox is built into the coupé as standard, the other two versions have the eight-speed automatic ex works. All three can also be combined with all-wheel drive as an option. The sprint times are reduced by up to 0.2 seconds, and consumption should be reduced by up to 12%.

Partial carbon wheels for the M4 GTS

In the new 430i variants, the two-liter turbo four-cylinder increases to 252 hp and 350 Nm. The standard here is the 6-speed gearbox, 8-speed automatic and all-wheel drive are optional. In the 425d, the power 425d increases to 224 hp and 450 Nm. Of course, the new 224 hp 25d drive is also available in the 3 Series. With the 2 Series Gran Tourer, the 218d can also be combined with all-wheel drive from March. The all-wheel drive version of the 740Li is new for the 7 Series.

For the M4 GTS, BMW optionally offers M carbon compound wheels in sizes 9.5x19 for the front axle and 10.5x20 for the rear axle. The wheels made of CFRP-aluminum composite construction should reduce the vehicle weight by 7 kg. Mounted on it are Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires in the dimensions 265/35 ZR19 at the front and 285/30 ZR20 at the rear.

Extended equipment and option lists

Open-air packages that BMW has put together for the 4-series convertible, the open M4 and the 2-series convertible should ensure even more convertible fun. Steering wheel heating, neck warmer, wind protection, a hi-fi speaker system and a through-loading system are combined.

With the 7 Series, remote-controlled parking is now available for all model variants. There is also a choice of additional exterior paintwork, upholstery colors and interior trim. For the 6 Series, the standard navigation package from March 2016 includes a new menu display as well as the functions telephony with wireless charging and WiFi hotspot.

From April 2016, these innovations will also be included in the range of special equipment for the X3 and the X4 a. In future, they will also be available as an Advantage model as an alternative to the basic equipment. The standard equipment of the X6, X5M and X6M models also includes a rear view camera from April 2016. The X5 and X6 now have theParking sensors in the front and rear aprons.

BMW has not yet announced prices for all new drives and options.
