B Drive the MW 520d and feel like in the M5 - at least As far as looks are concerned - the new BMW M Performance Parts make this possible. Developed by BMW M GmbH, the add-on parts are intended to enrich the business sedan with a lot of racing spirit. Retrofit components are available for the drive, chassis, aerodynamics and cockpit areas.
More sound and 34 hp in addition
The M Performance Parts for the 540i and 540i xDrive models offer more power . A BMW M Performance Power and Sound Kit is available for them, which increases the output of their inline six-cylinder petrol engine by 34 hp to 360 hp and the maximum torque by 50 to 500 Nm. The additional horses are combined with a coordinated silencer system, the tailpipe trims of which are available in chrome or carbon fiber.
For the 540i and 530i models, the Bavarians have a BMW M Performance as an alternative retrofit option Stainless steel silencer applied. Depending on the engine and equipment, this is combined with round or trapezoidal tailpipe trims in chrome or carbon fiber. There is also more sound for the Diesel 5 Series. Stainless steel systems with active sound systems are used here. Round or trapezoidal tailpipe trims are also used here, either in chrome or carbon. The trapezoidal tailpipe trims are also available as a separate retrofit option for all versions of the new BMW 5 Series Sedan.
Reinforced brakes and more diesel power
More power for the 530d will be available from summer 2017. The corresponding BMW M Performance Power Kit increases the output of the in-line six-cylinder diesel engine by 27 hp to 292 hp and the maximum torque by 30 to 650 Nm.
But the Bavarians can also optionally top it up with the Bremen. The M Perfomance sports brake system includes internally ventilated, perforated lightweight brake discs as well as four-piston fixed caliper brakes made of aluminum on the front axle and single-piston floating caliper brakes on the rear axle. The exclusive appearance is underlined by red painted brake calipers. Also new to the range are 20-inch rims in a double-spoke design, which can be fitted with 245/35 tires on the front axle and 275/30 on the rear axle.
Aeroparts in carbon
From summer 2017, an Alcantara sports steering wheel with a red 12 - Clock markings and silver-gray cross-stitch seams complete the range. In models with automatic transmission, the sports valance also has shift paddles.
