M or more dynamics for the exterior promise a redesigned rear diffuser, new side skirts and design foils with M Performance lettering. In addition, BMW offers new front grille with a black decorative ring and the exterior mirror caps made of carbon. Further design stripes are intended to increase the dynamism of the side view. Sound tuning is carried out by the stainless steel silencer with chromed tailpipe trims and an engraved M logo. Alternatively, the customer can also choose tailpipe trims in carbon. The exterior range is rounded off by new 19-inch alloy wheels.
More power for the BMW 220d
The interior of the BMW 2 Series Convertible can be upgraded with carbon and Alcantara. The offers include a cover for the gear selector switch or, in the case of a manual gearbox, for the gear knob including Alcantara bellows and a handbrake handle also with Alcantara bellows. Center console trim, center armrest and interior trim in carbon can also be retrofitted as accessories. Steering wheels made of Alcantara with carbon covers provide a sporty driving experience with or without an integrated race display. In addition, there are stainless steel pedal pads, illuminated door sills and special floor mats.
The M Performance Power Kit offers more power for the 220d convertible. A newly tuned engine management together with a new charge air cooler increases the output from 190 to 204 hp. On request, a limited-slip differential optimizes the traction of the rear wheels. Perforated and grooved lightweight sports brake discs should also provide more braking power.
