O ffroad fans are allowed rejoice: the old master among the universal off-road rubbers comes in a new version. BF Goodrich has freshly constructed the all-terrain. The manufacturer's promise: a construction that is particularly robust on the flanks and, thanks to additional sipes in the tread, also useful in winter.

BF Goodrich All-Terrain T /A KO2

In addition to the alleged BF Goodrich promises something remarkable about 20 percent more stable tire flanks, which are thus better protected against damage in the terrain: The service life on asphalt has been increased by 15 percent. The BF Goodrich All-Terrain has enjoyed an excellent reputation in the scene for decades as an endurance runner with very little tread wear.

The technology called 'CoreGard' by BF Goodrich is used for the tire sidewall, which according to the statement of the company was derived from its use in the Baja rallies in the USA. The rubber compound has also been improved in terms of resistance. Additional sipes in the tread are intended to make the BF Goodrich All-Terrain T /A KO2 fully suitable for winter, the tire has the 'snowflake' symbol for winter tires.

The BF Goodrich AT comes in 31 dimensions

BF Goodrich has opted for a coarser look for the new all-terrain tire by pulling the profiled tread into the flank. Depending on your preference, the BF Goodrich All-Terrain T /A KO2 can be installed with a white or uncolored typeface on the outside.

The 31 dimensions (detailed size table in the picture gallery) are in three stages delivered. This July we will start with seven particularly popular formats in 16-18 inches, including the SUV size 225/75 R16 and the 265/75 R16 and 285/75 R16 popular with off-road drivers, the former in the S speed index (up to 180 km /h), the latter with an R index of up to 170. The narrow 16-inch sizes favored by Defender owners and the 15-inch models (from 30x9.5 to 35x12.5) popular for older US vehicles will follow in October, a 33x10.5 is not on the list. The remaining sizes should finally be available in February 2016.
