Subscriptions & booklets

D he Baojun E100 is reminiscent of a Smart Fortwo at first glance with its basic shape and proportions. The electric dwarf from China is even more compact than its competitor from Hambach. With a wheelbase of only 1,600 mm, the Baojun E100 clearly undercuts the Smart. The height of the two-seater is given as 1,670 mm. The compact dimensions make the Baojun E100 extremely manoeuvrable. The turning circle is specified as just 3.70 meters.

155 km range

On the other hand, the Baojun E100 is running up to 100 km /h and even makes it suitable for the motorway in China. The E100 is driven by an electric motor with an output of 29 kW. The maximum torque is given as 110 Nm. The electric motor is fed by a lithium-ion battery, which should enable a range of up to 155 km. To refuel completely, the E 100 only needs to hang on the charging station for 7.5 hours. In addition, energy is recuperated when braking.

The Baojun E100 has an all-round independent wheel suspension, comes standard with ABS and ESP, electric power steering, an electronic parking brake, parking sensors and a pedestrian warning system. Passengers can network or interact via an infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen. In a higher equipment variant, the E100 is also equipped with a keyless drive authorization system.

5,000 pre-orders before market launch

Even before its market launch in China in July, there were over 5,000 reservations for the Baojun E 100 . In the first round, however, only 200 customers could be served, a further 500 vehicles were to be added in a second wave in August 2017.

The Baojun E 100 is only offered in certainRegions in china. The basic price minus national and local discounts is 35,800 RMB, which is the equivalent of around 4,500 euros. Marketing outside of China is not considered.
