D he test track the A9 in Bavaria should be technically equipped so that there will be additional offers for communication between road and vehicle as well as from vehicle to vehicle, reports the FAZ.

Independent of Google

The corresponding infrastructure should be in cooperation with science - for example the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft - be developed. Dobrindt specifically relies on independence from Google. On the test track, vehicles should initially be partially autonomous and later fully autonomous.

According to information from the FAZ, Baden-W├╝rttemberg's Economics and Finance Minister Nils Schmid can also imagine a corresponding motorway route in Baden-W├╝rttemberg. The A81 would be conceivable here, which leads past Bosch, Audi, Mercedes and Porsche locations, among others. The state government could not bring about a decision alone.
