2 021 will With the iNext project, BMW is bringing a purely electrically powered, fully autonomous and fully networked vehicle onto the streets. In order to achieve this goal, BMW has now announced that it will be bundling its development skills in a new campus.

Many new developers wanted
To this end, all competencies that are currently distributed across different locations are to be brought together in Unterschleißheim from mid-2017. At the new location, more than 2,000 employees are to develop the next steps towards fully automated driving, from software development to road testing.
Currently around 600 employees of the BMW Group are working on the development of highly automated driving. A large part of them are software developers.
