Can we do without nuclear power - and still achieve our climate goals? Which alternatives are really sensible in the long term?
In the 'Electromobility' topic, the experts investigate the question of whether the e- Auto can provide a real answer to climate problems. What does an electric car have to be able to do and where does it make sense to use it? What do customers expect? How consistently is e-mobility promoted in the individual countries? And will there also be completely new business models with electric cars?
Topic: CO2 and new emissions legislation
In the next few decades, a large part of (Auto -) Mobility still guaranteed by conventional drives. What else can be achieved with further technical optimization of internal combustion engines? What contribution can alternative fuels make to reducing CO2? Which different strategies are being pursued internationally? These questions are dealt with in the 'CO2 and new emissions legislation' section of the congress.
The congress builds on the World Mobility Forum
'We want the 'auto motor und sport congress 'Establish it as an overarching meeting point for the automotive, energy, politics and science sectors ', says Bernd Ostmann, editor-in-chief of auto motor und sport. With the new format, Motor Presse Stuttgart is building on the previous World Mobility Forum (WMF) event, which has been held successfully in Stuttgart since 2003. 'The aim is to take over and further develop the content and concept of the WMF - overarching issues relating to mobility with an international focus', explains Ostmann. The extensive congress program will be accompanied by International Congress Center of the New Stuttgart Trade Fair Center from a four-day special exhibition from April 15 to 18, 2010: Immediately adjacent to the congress, a large number of cars with alternatives will be displayed in the Stuttgart Trade Fair CenterDrives exhibited. The exhibition takes place at the same time as other spring trade fairs in Stuttgart and is also open to the 50,000 visitors expected here as well as the interested public in Stuttgart.
