P rof. Dr.-Ing. Su Zhou was born in 1961, completed his master's degree as an engineer in China in 1986 and received his doctorate in Germany in 1993 in the field of electrical engineering. In 1995 he accepted a professorship for automation technology at Qingdao University in China. Four years later the next visit to Germany followed, this time combined with teaching and research activities in the field of process engineering at the University of Magdeburg from 1999 to 2001. This was followed by employment as an engineer at the companies XcellSis (Control & Simulation Department, 2001-2004) and Webasto GmbH (project manager, 2004-2006) in Germany.
Since 2006, Su Zhou has been a full professor at the Chinese-German College (CDHK) at Tongji University in China. He teaches at the Automotive Science Center and holds the chair for innovative vehicle drives. His research focus is on the modeling, simulation and control of innovative drives, including fuel cells, battery technology and electric motors. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Su Zhou can refer to over 100 scientific publications and more than 20 patents.
