Z In addition, a battery production facility is to be set up in the Brussels plant. The Belgian site is intended to become the key plant for electromobility in the Volkswagen Group. Because the electric version of the Audi Q6 is going to Brussels, the small Audi A1 has to give way there. The normal Audi Q6 is to be manufactured in the new Mexican plant in San Jose Chiapa parallel to the next Q5 from 2017. The current Q5 is still being built in Ingolstadt.
After moving out of Brussels, the Audi A1 will in future be built in the Spanish Seat plant in Martorell. So far, the Audi Q3 has rolled off the assembly line there. That, in turn, had to give way to the A1 and moved its production to the Györ plant in Hungary. The Audi models A3 Sedan, A3 Cabriolet as well as the Audi TT Coupé and Audi TT Roadster are already manufactured there.
