'The Audi employees have given a maximum of performance in the past few months', said the head of the general works council, Peter Mosch.

Audi is on record course

'As the current sales figures clearly show, we have successfully overcome the economic crisis of last year and are well positioned for the future 'said the new HR director Thomas Sigi. After the crisis year 2009, the Ingolstadt-based company is back on record course. Audi grew strongly in the first nine months and almost doubled its operating profit compared to the same period in the previous year to around 2.3 billion euros.

This week, the supplier Bosch was the first major German company to announce that it would bring the wage increase of 2.7 percent forward by two months. The competitor ZF then stated that management and employees were currently negotiating a special payment. Negotiations like this also take place at Porsche in Stuttgart.
