D he celebrates the new Audi A7 Sportback its premiere on Monday (July 26th) in the Pinakothek in Munich. The five-door will then be shown to a larger audience in September at the Paris Motor Show.
The five-door coupé from Audi is a mixture of coupé, sedan and avant and, like all crossover models, wants the best of all worlds in to unite. The A7 should be sporty and elegant like a coupé, comfortable like a sedan and offer space like a station wagon.
Up to 1,390 liters at prices from 51,650 euros
The latter requirement is the long one sloping and wide-opening tailgate of the Audi A7 Sportback. Up to 535 liters of luggage can be accommodated under it. If the backrests of the rear seat are folded down, the load volume increases to up to 1,390 liters.
The overall appearance of the 4.97 meter long coupé is created by the short front overhang, the long bonnet and the 2.91 meters long wheelbase. The Audi A7 Sportback, 1.91 meters wide and 1.42 meters high, will be available from autumn at prices from 51,650 euros.
This price includes bi-xenon headlights with an integrated all-weather light function, the fog lights obsolete, as well as LED taillights. The luxuriously equipped interior always includes automatic air conditioning, front, side and head airbags, the new MMI system with retractable 6.5-inch monitor, central control button and a reduced number of buttons, for numerous options including a head-up display and online access can be ordered. In addition, numerous equipment options and assistance systems from the new Audi A8 are available for the Audi A7.
V6 engines from 204 to 300 hp
For the time being, only V6 engines are in the To have a combination with automatic transmissions - two diesel and two petrol. The basic engine is the 3.0 TDI with 204 PS and 400 Nm (as Quattro 450 Nm), which, as a front-wheel drive with Multitronic, should only consume 5.3 liters (CO2: 139 g /km). The new Audi A7 Sportback sprints from zero to 100 km /h in 7.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 235 km /h. The three-liter diesel is also available in a version with 245 hp and 500 Nm, which is combined with all-wheel drive and S-Tronic transmission. Here consumption should be 6.0 liters (CO2: 158 g /km), the sprint time at 6.5 seconds and the top speed at a regulated 250 km /h.
The base petrol engine isthe 2.8 FSI with 204 hp and 280 Nm, which is only available as a Quattro with S-Tronic transmission. Here the average consumption of the A7 is 8.0 liters (CO2: 187 g /km), the sprint time is 8.3 seconds and the top speed is 235 km /h.
Preliminary top engine in the new Audi A7 Sportback is the 3.0 TFSI which, thanks to supercharger technology, generates 300 hp and 440 Nm of torque. The combination of Quattro and S-Tronic is also specified here. The consumption of the V6 should be 8.2 liters (CO2: 190 g /km), the sprint time at 5.6 seconds and the top speed at a regulated 250 km /h.
The all variants have an electronically controlled steel suspension, air suspension is also available as an option. The road contact is maintained by 18 inch wheels with 255/45 tires. 19 or 20 inch rims can also be fitted on request. Sports fans are served with an additional S-Line sports package for the Audi A7 Sportback.
