D he new edition from Artega is called Scalo - der The name Scalo is derived from a racehorse - and is purely electrically powered. The VW VR6 engine flew out of the engine compartment and was replaced by two electric motors with a total output of 300 kW and 780 Nm torque. Artega even states the peak power is 390 kW. The two electric motors drive the rear wheels via a single-stage gearbox. In the best case, the 1,585 kg Artega Scalo sprints from zero to 100 km /h in 3.9 seconds, the top speed is limited to 250 km /h.

The Artega Scalo uses a combination of super capacitors and lithium-ion battery cells for power supply. With a total capacity of 37 kWh, the Artega Scalo should be able to achieve a range of up to 400 km. The driver controls the degree of recuperation from the steering wheel. With a remaining capacity of 25%, the maximum speed is limited to 200 km /h to extend the range. Depending on the charging current, the charging time for the battery pack is between one hour (64 kW) and ten hours (220V).
The 250 liter load volume is distributed over storage spaces under the front hood and behind the seats. The Scalo offers sound from the can - for the environment and the passengers on board.
Only 12 of the Artega Scalo are to be built and only to order. The prices start at 170,000 euros.
