D as brands are disappearing from the automotive scene, that's something you can rely on used. The fact that new brands are created is only known from projects by various small series manufacturers. An attempt is now coming from Serbia to establish a new, broad-based brand. Aqos then also appears with a broad chest and a broad model portfolio, which ranges from small cars to SUVs to sports cars. The Serbs want to dare a first serve at the Geneva Motor Show 2016.

Aqos range includes 7 models

The designer Sasha Milovančević, who claims to have already worked with different models, is behind the ambitious project major automakers. The rest of his team is made up of automotive specialists from Germany, England and Italy. In addition, the University of Belgrade is to provide support with various institutes.

So far, the model range from Aqos is only available virtually. The Aqos 25 is a 3.85 meter long small car with up to 5 seats. A 1.2-liter engine with 95 hp is supposed to drive the rear wheels of the Aqos 25. With a weight of 940 kg, the Aqos should spurt to 100 km /h in 9.5 seconds and be fast 185 km /h.

Powerful engines and only rear-wheel drive

Aqos wants to stir up the compact class with the Vale 45. The three-door with four seats is just over 4 meters long, weighs 1,050 kg and is powered by a 1.4-liter biturbo with 180 hp via the rear wheels. The sprint from zero to 100 km /h should take 6.0 seconds, the top speed is specified as 235 km /h. The Aqos Zulu 60 is the mid-range sports coupe. Building on a tubular space frame, the 2 + 2-seater is fired by a 2.4-liter V6 with 270 hp. Rear-wheel drive is also set on the 4.29-meter-long Zulu. The 1,250 kg Zulu sprints to 100 km /h in 5 seconds and the top speed is said to be 260 km /h.

With the Aqos Fastback, the Serbs even have a large coupé in their range, which can be optionally available as a four - or should be available as a two-door. The four-door comes in at 4.79 meters, 1,700 kg, the two-door at 4.69 meters and 1,600 kg. The rear wheels are always driven by a 3.2-liter V6 biturbo with 370 hp. Both should spurt to 100 in around 5.5 seconds and both should be a good 270 km /h.

The Serbs cover the sports car segment with the Aqos Javier. The 4.61 meter long two-seater is built on a tubular space frame and carries a 4.7-liter V10 in the front. It applies 505 hp to the rear wheels and is supposed to accelerate the 1,370 kg heavy Javier to 100 in 3.5 seconds and make it a maximum of 330 km /h.

Aqos with SUV and super sports car

Of course, a premium in the boom SUV segment should not be missing. This is where the Aqos PEJA 4XL Off Road is supposed to attack. The 4.66 meter long five-door model weighs 1,800 kilograms and has all-wheel drive. Drive power is provided by a 3.7-liter V6 with 330 PS, which speeds the SUV to 100 km /h in 7 seconds and allows a maximum of 250 km /h.

The model range is crowned by the Aqos PM - a genuine super sports car with ultra-flat lines. The Serbs still owe details here. It is still uncertain which model they will use in Geneva. How sustainable the Aqos premium will be remains to be seen.
