Aral and Shell raise fuel price from 8 p.m.

D araus shows that the petrol stations sometimes massively increase their prices in the evening and slowly lower them over the course of the day (see graphics in the photo show) towards the early evening. Aral and Shell will start the price increase at 8 p.m., Total and Jet between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. The latter brand increases prices by an average of 8.8 cents for diesel and 8.5 cents for gasoline. The margin is larger at Shell - between the highest and lowest price is 14 cents and for diesel 14.6 cents.

For Esso fuels, the difference is around 13 cents. According to the ADAC, the biggest price differences between the brands are late in the evening. Around 10:30 p.m., the average price of Shell gasoline is more than 15 cents above the comparable price of Jet. In the case of diesel, the difference between the two brands was as much as 16 cents at this point.

The average prices of the five brands also differ significantly from one another. Shell fuel is on average around five cents higher than that of Jet. However, if the competitive environment is spatially close together, the prices between Jet, Total and the other branded petrol stations only differ by one cent.> Free 'more refuel' app shows the cheapest fuel in the area

Since the price curves according to ADAC data were very stable and regular during the period under review, drivers can easily calculate their refueling stops. By the way: If you are looking for the cheapest petrol station on the way, we recommend our free petrol app 'More refuel'. It is suitable for iPhone, Android and Windows 8 Phone and shows the current fuel prices in real time. More information is available here.
