E s were stressful days for the technicians, engineers and those responsible at AC Schnitzer. Today, Friday (November 28, 2014), the first press day of the Essen Motor Show 2014, the red-orange BMW M4 had to be on the exhibitor's area. The model was assembled just under 24 hours earlier. After that, a photo session and the crossing from Aachen to the Ruhr area were on the program.

AC Schnitzer BMW M4 still without rear wing

Was the effort worth it? The trade fair audience at the Essen Motor Show 2014 gives an initial answer.

There, visitors can see a discreetly redesigned BMW M4. AC Schnitzer has given the Bavarian athlete a new front spoiler, new mirror covers and a rear diffuser. All parts are made of carbon. In addition, the Aachen-based company has given the vehicle a rear roof spoiler and a rear apron film. The AC Schnitzer M4 makes its six-cylinder biturbo sound heard through four tailpipes.

AC Schnitzer fills the wheel arches with rims between 19 and 21 inches as required. The Schnitzer technicians have not yet attached the carbon rear wing to the car. But the spoiler factory should soon push the BMW M4 onto the road more fully in fast corners.

Schnitzer-M4 with 510 hp

The AC Schnitzer sniffs 25-30 millimeters at the front and 10-15 millimeters closer to the asphalt thanks to a new set of suspension springs. A racing suspension, which can be adjusted in compression and rebound, lowers the tuned sports car by 30 - 40 millimeters at the front and around 30 millimeters at the rear compared to the standard M4.

Among other things, an aluminum Pedals and footrests as well as an aluminum handbrake handle. There are three different gear buttons to choose from, for example with a digital gear indicator.

With the installation of an additional control unit, almost 80 more horses move into the BMW M4. AC Schnitzer has not yet given any information about the performance of the 510 hp sports car (645 Nm torque). The same applies to the prices. But the tuning company will have enough time for that after the Essen Motor Show 2014 (December 7th).
