A n March 1st, 1930 Erwin Lorinser founded an independent car workshop in Waiblingen near Stuttgart. Just five years later, the motor vehicle master worked with what was then Daimler Benz AG and became an official reseller for cars and commercial vehicles with the star. In 1961 the company moves to a larger car dealership with an attached petrol station.

Mercedes tuner with worldwide sales network

Manfred Lorinser, the son of the company founder has headed the company from 1974 and continues the success story. In 1976 a second Lorinser dealership opens in the neighboring town of Winnenden. In the same year, the first modifications to Mercedes vehicles are made there. A branch of business that developed so well that Sportservice Lorinser was founded in 1981. Since then, the subsidiary has dedicated itself to customizing vehicles and selling them worldwide. In 2006 Manfred Lorinser's son Marcus took over the management of Lorinser Sportservice and expanded the dealer network to 45 countries. The most prominent lovers of Mercedes vehicles in Lorinser design include Bernie Ecclestone, Niki Lauda, ​​Alain Prost, Paul Tracy, Shaquille O'Neal, Denzel Washington, Sharon Stone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and many more.

Traditional interest in historical vehicles

Since 2002 the family business has been located in a new administration building with a large exhibition area for the in-house classic car collection connects.
