2 rally cars from Urban Priol under the hammer

Auction of Ford Cortina and Audi 100
Subscriptions & booklets

U rban priol is not only a well-known cabaret artist who speaks up on political issues and denounces grievances - he is also personally committed to charitable causes. He is currently auctioning two classics with which he took part in numerous classic car rallies: On the one hand, the Ford Cortina Mk I, with which he was just participating in the Sauerland Klassik. On the other hand his Audi 100 GL 5S, with which he competed in the Sachs-Franken-Classic and the Weinfranken-Klassik, among others.

Second-hand Audi 100 in copper metallic

First, the Audi 100 GL goes under the hammer. Classicbid is auctioning the 1978 Audi in the beautiful color L95F, also known as copper metallic, in the Klassikstadt in Frankfurt am Main on October 24, 2015. Urban Priol only bought the well-equipped Ingolstadt-based company last year - firsthand. The first owner ordered the car with headlamp cleaning system, sunroof, fog lights - and the 2.2-liter five-cylinder with 115 hp.

Currently only 90,800 km are on the clock of this exceptionally well-preserved sedan. The auction proceeds of the Audi 100 GL including the auction premium will go to the association BE YOUR OWN HERO eV (www. beyourownhero-ev.de ), who has set itself the goal of giving disadvantaged young people the chance of a home, education and a future.

Only 55,600 miles and freshly TÜV-t

The second Urban Priol car is on ebay under the virtual hammer. With the Ford Cortina Mk I he took part in the 1st Sauerland Klassik. Unfortunately, the cabaret artist had less luck at the rally - he got stuck with a damaged clutch. But that shouldn't happen to the highest bidder, because the master car company 'Vogt - Rund ums Kfz' from Attendorn-Helden has repaired the British mid-range car with a mileage of only 55,600 miles on its own account, subjected it to an engine wash and also an inspection and donated it . The reward of the effort is a passed general inspection and a new TÜV sticker.

Ford Cortinashines like new again

The two-door Brit is powered by a 48 hp 1.2-liter engine, which transfers its power to the leaf-sprung rear axle via a fully synchronized four-speed gearbox - quite good prerequisites for a classic car rally - especially Disc brakes are already being used on the front axle.

'Now the Ford Cortina shines almost as it did 52 years ago when it first rolled off the assembly line,' enthuses Peter Göbel, rally director of the Sauerland Klassik and initiator of the auction . 'Many thanks to Urban Priol, Josef Vogt and all the other helpers for making this project possible. The new owner will definitely have fun with the car - and also do something good ...'

The entire proceeds go to the Förderverein

Because the entire proceeds from the auction go to ' Children in AufWind Attendorn-Finnentrop eV' to good, a support association that supports children and young people from the region, their Parents cannot afford the little things in life themselves - from membership fees for the sports club to help with homework and money for a warm lunch at school.

Free starting place at the 2nd Sauerland Klassik

The highest bidder also gets a free starting place at the next Sauerland Klassik ( www.sauerland-klassik.de ) worth around 1,400 euros. The only condition: He has to compete in the Ford Cortina.
