Renault is increasing the price of its electric car Zoe sharply - more equipment does not compensate for the additional price. But the small car is available again.
Renault has significantly increased the prices for its electric small car Zoe. According to the current price list, the basic price is now 36,840 euros. Previously, the cheapest Zoe cost 33,140 euros, that and 3,700 euros less. In return, there is now more: speed warning, automatic air conditioning and smartphone integration are now standard. They previously cost 600 euros in the Techno package. This mathematically reduces the additional price to 3,100 euros. The model with the smaller 41 kWh battery for 29,990 euros has already been discontinued.
Zoe available again
After an interim order freeze, the Zoe can also be ordered again. The first copies will be delivered at the beginning of 2023. The delivery time is therefore at least six months.
New equipment packages

Renault has changed its surcharge strategy for the Zoe - there are now equipment packages for the various vehicle versions. While the basic version of the Zoe has an output of 80 kW (109 hp), a 100 kW motor (135 hp) is available for a surcharge of 1,000 euros. With both drives, the basic Evolution equipment package is standard (electric front windows, 7-inch screen, navigation system, automatic climate control, cruise control, rear parking sensors, lane departure warning system, LED headlights, 16-inch alloy wheels and keyless entry). With the more expensive 100 kW drive, customers can still order the Iconic package for 2,850 euros. There are rear electric windows, a 9.3-inch screen, front parking sensors, a reversing camera, automatic high beam and blind spot warning.
Conclusion
Renault is also participating in the general price increases with the Zoe - a premium of over eleven percent is quite high, however. The additional equipment is only cold consolation.
