Polestar presents electric cargo scooter Re:Move

Polestar uses the IAA Mobility in Munich to show the Re:Move cargo scooter, which was developed together with cooperation partners. An electric motor provides the drive.

The electric car brand Polestar, which like Volvo belongs to the Chinese Geely Group, is not only celebrating the premiere of new engine variants of the Polestar 2 at the IAA Mobility in Munich (until September 12, 2021).

With the name Re:Move will also be showing the prototype of an electric cargo scooter. In contrast to a cargo bike with electric assistance, the Re:Move does not have pedals, so the electric motor is solely responsible for propulsion. The concept was created in cooperation with the designer Konstantin Grcic, the aluminum manufacturer Hydro and the electric motorcycle brand Cake.

180 kg payload

The maximum speed of the Re:Move, designed for transporting goods over the first and last mile, is 25 km/h. 2.2 kWh storage capacity of the battery must be enough, no information has yet been given about the possible range. It may also depend on the load. Polestar and its cooperation partners promise a payload of up to 180 kilograms. Plans for series production were not communicated at the presentation of the Re:Move.

Conclusion

The electric car brand Polestar, together with cooperation partners, has developed the electrically powered cargo scooter Re:Move. A prototype celebrates its premiere at the IAA Mobility.
