The capsules are filled with a specific liquid rubber mixture that allows the running surface to regenerate again and again. The capsules are refillable, making the tire changing process easier.

In addition, the tire can adapt to changing weather conditions, road conditions and the user's individual mobility needs. Using artificial intelligence, a profile is created for each driver, based on which the rubber compound is specially tailored to the respective driver. Since the ReCharge tire does not need to be filled with air, no tire pressure monitoring system is necessary. The thin, robust and low-maintenance overall structure of the tire can also prevent breakdowns due to tire damage.

The rubber compound of the ReCharge tire consists of a biological, fiber-reinforced material. The fibers are modeled on spider silk. The tread compound would not only be extremely durable, it would also be one hundred percent biodegradable.
