A uf der CES 2020, Honda introduces its new Augmented Driving Concept. It is intended to simulate a seamless transition from autonomous to semi-autonomous driving. The autonomous system is always ready to intervene and control the vehicle if necessary. The drive system offers a total of eight modes, which can be activated using a switch. Numerous sensors monitor the driver's intentions while driving in order to switch smoothly between the individual modes.

The newly developed steering wheel is an essential part of the new system. The driver starts the Honda by tapping twice on the steering wheel. If he pulls on the steering wheel slows down the vehicle, if he pushes the steering wheel it accelerates. CES attendees can experience a demonstration of the Augmented Driving Concept in Las Vegas from January 7-10, 2020.
