B Audi has the Q7 in its range of large SUV models. In this country it is only available with compression-ignition engines. The strongest among them is the four-liter V8 with twin turbo charging. With an output of 435 hp and a maximum torque of 900 Nm, the diesel is anything but weak at the factory, as it pushes the large Q7 from a standstill to 100 km /h in 4.8 seconds and enables a governed top speed of 250 km /h.
Tuner Speed-Buster from Sinzig shows what potential can still be developed from the V8. By using a multi-channel chip tuning box including vehicle-specific parameters, the output of the four-liter engine increases to 519 hp. From now on, the maximum torque is even 1,038 Nm - an increase of no less than 84 hp and 138 Nm.
The chip tuning box from Speed-Buster uses microprocessor technology that is similar to that of the original Sensors supplied data processed in real time with activated tuning. These are then forwarded to the engine control unit in a modified form. Despite the significantly increased engine power, the modified control data should reduce the consumption of the eight-cylinder by up to 15 percent.
Tuning can be remotely controlled via app
The tuning box from Speed- Buster for the Audi SQ7 at a price of 999 euros. The scope of delivery includes a two-year engine guarantee. The chip tuning box can also be equipped with a remote control for an extra charge of 50 euros. This is then controlled via a special smartphone app. The tuning can be switched on or off at any time, or only made accessible to certain drivers. All parameters of the chip tuning can also be visualized via the app.
The installation of theChip tuning box in the Audi SQ7 should be possible without any problems, as the supplied wiring harness with its plug connections is specially designed for the original plug connections. The installation can easily be done by yourself or by any workshop. All engine protection programs also remain active during tuning. In addition, the extra power is only switched on when the engine is at operating temperature. A timer function is also integrated to protect the engine in the full load range, i.e. after 20 seconds of full load, the output is regulated back to the standard output. Continuous full throttle driving is not possible with the full tuning performance.
