With the Kadjar has R enault Success model in the program that is selling well worldwide. After 450,000 copies in just under three years, the compact SUV is getting new engines and small changes to the design and interior.
Facelift for the Kadjar compact SUV
The radiator grille is getting wider and more Chrome, the bumpers are also changed. The most striking feature at the front are the C-shaped daytime running lights. There are also LEDs in the rear lights: indicators, reversing lights and rear fog lights consist of light-emitting diodes. Depending on the equipment, the Kadjar is new 17- or 19-inch alloy wheels, and there are also three new colors to choose from: 'Ural Green', 'Iron Blue' and 'Highland Gray'.
More powerful engines from 115 to 160 hp
With the market launch of the facelift in January 2019, Renault also introduced new engines to the Kadjar. The turbo four-cylinder with direct injection are homologated according to WLTP and meet the Euro 6d Temp emission standard - as has been customary since September 1, 2019. The new 1.3-liter petrol engine has a gasoline particle filter and is available in two output levels: the 140 and 160 hp versions are each available with a manual gearbox or a dual-clutch automatic. There are also two diesels with SCR emission control. The dCi 115 is 5 HP more powerful than the previous basic diesel. The more powerful unit exceeds its predecessor with 150 by 20 hp.

Interior: R Link 2 and more comfortable seats
Renault has redesigned the 7-inch touchscreen for operating the navigation, radio and vehicle functions, and functions such asOn /Off, Home or the volume control moved to the user interface. Smartphones are paired via Apple Carplay and Android Auto. The automatic air conditioning now has three rotary controls - and one more. Two new ventilation nozzles at the end of the center console ventilate the rear compartment. The storage compartments in the front doors now also hold 1.5 liter water bottles, lights in the buttons for window lifters and exterior mirror adjustment as well as on the underside of the exterior mirrors should make orientation easier. In addition to fresh fabric, the front seats have a pull-out thigh support and padding with two differently firm foams.
Top version now with all-wheel drive
For the first time, Renault is now also offering the compact SUV with all-wheel drive. The 'All Mode 4x4' drive known from other Group models, with control via a rotary knob, is only available for the 150 hp diesel in the top 'Bose Edition' equipment. With that, the Renault Kadjar comes to a permissible Trailer load of 1,800 kg, which also makes it interesting as a towing vehicle. Renault specifies the average consumption as 5.2 liters. The Kadjar 4x4 is only available with a manual transmission, the price for the top model is 36,890 euros.
