Mercedes G 400d: more powerful diesel version comes in 2019

D er Diesel with the three-liter in-line six-cylinder produces 330 hp and is a powerful version from the OM 656 engine family. This is evident from a list of the HUK motor vehicle insurance company. Daimler insiders confirm the model for mid-2019.

Compared to the 350d, the Mercedes G 400d should reach the 210 km /h limit instead of 199 and complete the sprint in less than 7.4 seconds.

Mercedes currently offers the G -Class as G 500 with the four-liter twin-turbo V8 that develops 422 hp. The same unit with 585 hp is used in the Mercedes-AMG G63. The petrol engines cost 107,040.50 euros or 148,434.65 euros. On the diesel side, there is currently only the G 350d with 286 hp at a price of 95,021.50 euros. We estimate that the G 400 d will cost just under 98,000 euros.
