Manhart GC800: An SUV becomes a sports car killer

D amit is of course still a long way from clarifying what will come after the sprint to 100 km /h. But for now we'll accept that the GC800 can accelerate to country road speed in just 3.3 seconds. Now the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk with its 710 hp V8 does not have the worst conditions. The extreme device is not only the most powerful production Jeep of all time, but also the most expensive at 120,000 euros - but that's a different story. For the first tuning project with an American car, the otherwise predominantly BMW-oriented gentlemen from Manhart chose a really nice steam hammer.

A stainless steel exhaust system with flap control provides the soundtrack in the GC800.

For Manhart installs its own software for the special flavor. This raises the rapid 2.5-ton SUV to 813 hp and 985 Newton meters of maximum torque. So that the exhaust gases have to fight less resistance, Manhart supports the throughput with a stainless steel exhaust system including valve control. At the same time, the riot of the compressor-assisted eight-cylinder can be appropriately staged. With a displacement of 6.2 liters, it is also a proud body of sound.

The latter sits confidently on 22-inch rims and, thanks to the H&R suspension, crouches lower on the road. If this is not yet clear enough in terms of the external effect, you will be pleased with the silver foiled strips on the flanks and the corresponding lettering on the rear. This should make it clear to the last doubter that he might lose out in the quarter mile race against this black colossus. It's much more discreet inside. Even the carbon decorations work in the blackLeather landscape unobtrusive.
