Both model variants will stop from the start maximum torque of 395 Newton meters available, but differ in the performance and driving data. The basic model has an output of 100 kW (136 hp) and accelerates from zero to one hundred in 9.8 seconds. The values for the more powerful variant: 150 kW /204 PS and 7.8 seconds. At the CES still asStudy

At the CES in Las Vegas, Kia had already shown the e-Niro as a concept car. There will be a new human-machine interface (HMI) and a new 'motion graphics' lighting system. Both should go into series production in Kia models in the next few years. Kia describes its new technology “beyond autonomous driving” in a somewhat more cryptic manner. It combines existing systems with upcoming autonomous drive technologies.

In the interior, the focus is on the new human-machine interface. The infotainment system and air conditioning can be controlled using touch gestures via a control panel integrated into the steering wheel. In addition, the interface makes it possible to “log in” to the vehicle using face and voice recognition and thus to call up personalized settings. Another new feature is a two-zone sound system that enables the occupants to choose between different sound programs in both rows of seats.

As a further highlight, Kia is exhibiting three interactive cockpits that are intended to show how the new systems are integrated and how communication and interaction between passengers and vehicle can be improved. This also includes new driver assistance features and HMI functions as well as the world's first 5G mobile radio standard in the car.
