Tuner G-Power offers power upgrades in the form of software and hardware for the BMW X5 M. In the final stage, up to 800 hp rage under the hood of the SUV.
13.12.2021The BMW X5 (Type F95) is available in the current configuration as an M model as a Competition V8 X-Drive with 625 hp and 750 Nm from a four-liter bi-turbo V8 engine. In this series trim, the approximately 2.4-ton SUV is good for a sprint time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 300 km/h.
Basic tuning brings 700 hp
There are supposed to be people for whom that's not fast enough. They can turn to tuner G-Power from Aichach in Bavaria with confidence. With the software update dubbed GP-700, the performance of the Bavarian eight-cylinder increases to 700 hp. The maximum torque increases by 100 to 850 Nm. The price for the updated motor control is 2,495 euros.
If you tick the GP-750 option, new hardware is added to the performance-enhancing software. It consists of new downpipes and a sports exhaust system with flap control. In total, 750 hp and up to 900 Nm of torque pour over the crankshaft. For this level, G-Power charges 3,495 euros for the software and a further 5,360 euros for the downpipes and 5,950 euros for the exhaust system. ,
For almost 22,000 euros on 800 hp
The X5 M reaches the ultimate level in combination with the GP-800 package. Two larger exhaust gas turbochargers complement the measures mentioned so far. For the X5, this combination means 800 hp and a maximum torque of 950 Nm. In addition to the already mentioned exhaust system and the downpipes, the customer has to pay 4,595 euros for the software and 5,950 euros for the larger chargers
In addition, the Bavarian SUV can also be equipped with new wheels. G-Power has the in-house forged wheels Hurricane RS and Hurricane RR ready, which are installed in the dimensions 11x23 inches. The unit price starts here at 1,785 euros. ,
Conclusion
G-Power offers various performance expansion stages for the BMW X5 M Competition. There is a maximum of 175 hp on top. But then almost 22,000 euros are due.
