The VW T-Roc 2.0 TSI Sport, which costs 38,100 euros, comes up for a consumption check.
The T-Roc 2.0 TSI combines the well-known high utility value of the series with a two-liter four-cylinder, standard seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and also standard 4Motion all-wheel drive. This list already reveals that this car cannot be cheap. 35,110 euros is the basic price in the only Sport equipment line offered, and in the manner of the house, the standard equipment has been chosen with that care that generally distinguishes a VW. And what about the fuel and maintenance costs?
Our test consumption
VW specifies a WLTP standard consumption of 7.3 liters Super for the T-Roc 2.0 TSI Sport . He moves away from this value in everyday life. We have determined an average consumption of 8.2 liters, which causes fuel costs of 13.78 euros per 100 kilometers. The VW consumed 6.4 liters on the eco lap, while consuming 8.2 liters on the commuter route. If the VW was moved in a sporty manner, consumption rose to 10.2 liters. The fuel costs are calculated using the daily updated fuel price on our partner portal mehr-tanken.de (03.10.2021 /Super: 1.68 euros/litre).
Monthly maintenance costs
If you drive as resource-efficiently as we do on our eco tour, you reduce the fuel costs for 100 kilometers to 10.75 euros. The rather violent gait resulted in a sum of 17.14 euros. According to Allianz Direct , the vehicle tax costs 205 euros per year for the VW, the liability insurance is 354 euros. Partial and fully comprehensive insurance cost an additional 110 and 413 euros respectively. Monthly maintenance costs of 301 euros are paid by those who drive the VW 15,000 kilometers a year. If the mileage is double, the sum increases to 552 euros. We leave out the loss in value in this calculation.
How to test
The auto motor und sport test consumption consists of three differently weighted consumption drives. So-called “commuter consumption” accounts for 70 percent. This is a journey from home to work, which averages 21 kilometers. A particularly economical, approx. 275-kilometre-long eco-lap is included in the rating with 15 percent. The remaining 15 percent is accounted for by the sports driver lap. The length is roughly the same as the eco lap, but the route includes a larger proportion of motorway and thus higher speeds on average. The calculation basis for the fuel costs is always the price of the portal " more refueling " from the day the article was created.
The monthly maintenance costs include maintenance, wear part costs and vehicle taxes assuming an annual mileage of 15,000 and 30,000 kilometers without loss of value. The calculation is based on the test consumption, a three-year holding period, no-claims class SF12 for liability and fully comprehensive insurance with Allianz Direct * including discounts for garage parkers and the restriction to certain drivers (accident-free/annually 15,000 km/resident in the postcode area 70174/not under 21 /partner driver older than 25 years).

This means that the fuel costs over this distance are 13.78 euros. The monthly maintenance costs are 301 euros (15,000 km annual mileage) or 552 euros (30,000 km annual mileage).
