How much does the SUV with four-cylinder turbo petrol engine and all-wheel drive cost in everyday life? This is exactly what we clarify in our comprehensive cost check.
Due to the newly introduced Euro 6d emission standard, the XT4 is the only model from Cadillac with us. "The spacious XT4 convinces with a powerful engine, good driving comfort and well thought-out operation. Deficits can be found in the steering and in the lighting technology." This is the conclusion of the compact SUV from test editor Thomas Hellmanzik. And what about consumption and running costs?
Our test consumption
The 230 hp four-cylinder turbo petrol engine consumed 10.2 liters over the distance of 100 kilometers on average in the test, almost a liter more than the WLTP specification (9.3 l/100 km). The fuel costs add up to 18.26 euros. With a particularly economical driving style, such as on our Eco lap, the engine remains well below the WLTP value with a consumption of 7.7 l/100 km. The costs here are 13.78 euros. When driven in a sporty manner, consumption increases to 13.1 liters, which costs 23.45 euros at the pump. The costs are calculated based on the daily updated fuel price on our partner portal mehr-tanken.de (01/11/2022 /Super: 1.79 euros/litre).
Monthly maintenance costs
The vehicle tax is 372 euros. According to Allianz Direct , liability insurance costs 414 euros annually. An annual fee of 152 euros is due for the partially comprehensive insurance, the fully comprehensive insurance costs an extra 778 euros. The total monthly maintenance costs are 371 euros for vehicle use over 15,000 kilometers per year. If the number of kilometers doubles, 673 euros are due. The depreciation is not included here.
How to test
The auto motor und sport test consumption consists of three differently weighted consumption runs. So-called “commuter consumption” accounts for 70 percent. This is a journey from home to work, which averages 21 kilometers. A particularly economical, approx. 275-kilometre-long eco-lap is included in the rating with 15 percent. The remaining 15 percent is accounted for by the sports driver lap. The length is roughly the same as the eco lap, but the route includes a larger proportion of motorway and thus higher speeds on average. The basis for calculating the fuel costs is always the price quoted on the "more tanken" portal on the day the article was created.
The monthly maintenance costs include maintenance, wear part costs and vehicle taxes assuming an annual mileage of 15,000 and 30,000 kilometers without loss of value. The calculation is based on the test consumption, a three-year holding period, no-claims class SF12 for liability and fully comprehensive insurance with Allianz Direct, including discounts for garage parkers and the restriction to certain drivers (accident-free/15,000 km per year/resident in the postcode area 70174/not under 21/partner driver older than 25 years).
Conclusion
In the auto motor and sport consumption test, the 68,106-euro Jaguar F-Pace D200 R-Dynamic SE with 204 hp ended up with an average of 8.1 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers. The fuel costs for this distance are thus 12.56 euros. The monthly maintenance costs are 268 euros (15,000 km annual mileage) or 458 euros (30,000 km annual mileage).
