Toyota Supra 35th Anniversary Edition Japan

Toyota celebrates 35 years of Toyota Supra. However, the celebration is modest. The Japanese are launching the 35th Anniversary Edition exclusively for the home market.

In 1986, Toyota introduced the Supra with the A70 model generation for the first time as an independent model. Previously, Supra was always part of the Celica range. Now, 35 years later, the Toyota Supra is being celebrated in Japan with a special model.

For the crooked anniversary, the car manufacturer is launching the 35th Anniversary Edition. But there is no real party mood when you look at the festive decorations of the special model. Based on the three-liter six-cylinder model, the Supra comes in the special color Storm Gray. In addition, the Japanese combine a red leather interior. The anniversary model based on the four-cylinder variant is presented in eye-catching Lightning Yellow. The yellow exterior is complemented by a red leather interior with black Alcantara seat panels. If you don't like yellow, you can also order a paint finish in red, grey, black or white.

Only for Japan and only in August

Both model variants roll on 19-inch light-alloy wheels with a matt black look and bear an anniversary lettering on the dashboard decorated with carbon applications. The exterior mirrors are each black. In addition, aluminum pedals and, if desired, red painted brake calipers are installed on the reinforced brake system. An engraved plaque on the center console shows the sequential serial number. There are no other technical delicacies. Only 35 of each color variant will be built.

Customers outside of Japan are starving, the Japanese have to hurry because the special models will only be offered in August 2021. If the demand exceeds the supply - which is to be assumed - the lot decides. The prices for the two special models are around 50,500 euros for the four-cylinder and 60,500 for the six-cylinder.,

Conclusion

Toyota celebrates the anniversary of the Supra in Japan. The anniversary models are strictly limited and will only be offered in August 2021.
