Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25 for 525,000 euros

Porsche is celebrating the 25th anniversary of Manthey-Racing GmbH with an extraordinary special model. The 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25 was designed exclusively for track day and circuit use. Nevertheless, the extreme model is already sold out.

Manthey is celebrating his birthday, Porsche is helping with the presents. For the 25th, both have put a special model on the wheels, limited to 30 copies, with which well-heeled customers can have fun on the circuit - and only there.

911 GT2 RS Clubsport - Type 991 - provides the basis

The 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25 is based on the 911 GT2 RS Clubsport of the 991 model generation and is also powered by a 3.8 liter, 700 hp six-cylinder boxer engine Driven by biturbo charging. Porsche puts a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission between the engine and the driven rear wheels. For more independence, Porsche reaches into the shelves and combines many vehicle components and elements of well-known and future Porsche racing cars. Technically and aerodynamically, it bridges the gap between two model generations of the 911.

The inspiration for the 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25 came from the green and yellow 911 GT3 R from Manthey . Targeted accents in these colors on the Clubsport 25 underline this liaison. One of the defining features is the center cooler concept. The completely newly developed front apron has a central inlet for optimal airflow. Double-deck flicks on the outboards increase downforce on the front axle. In addition, the vehicle has a closed underbody. The front hood made of carbon fiber features two large air outlets separated by a central bar, which direct hot exhaust air over the roof towards the rear wing, similar to the 911 GT3 R. A central Naca opening – combined with the Porsche coat of arms – supplies the cockpit with fresh air.

Thanks to the new cooling concept, there are no side coolers in the wheel arches. This creates space for a direct flow to the front wheel brakes. The wide wheel arches are ventilated via a vertical opening for air discharge. The extended wheel arches of the rear axle are also equipped with a two-part air intake. New wide rocker panels stretch between the wheel arches.

Borrowings from the modern 935

In terms of chassis, the 911 GT2 RS Clubsport adopts 25 essential components of the modern 935, including the generous dimensions of the 18-inch rims with central locking. In conjunction with the corresponding offsets, this leads to a significant widening of the track compared to the 911 GT2 RS Clubsport. The electronic control systems and the steering gear also correspond to the modern 935.

The rear end of the 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25 is also extensively modified. The rear wing has new sideplates and gooseneck wing supports, which allow for a smoother inflow. The particularly wide rear spoiler protrudes into the body and, like the 935, acts as an all-round spoiler lip. New ventilation openings in the boot lid below the rear window accelerate air circulation in the engine compartment of the special model.,

Manthey's optimized design of the functional diffuser forms the framework for the newly designed exhaust system. Their tailpipes are a visual highlight. The rear rain light meets the latest regulations and is also used in this form in the new 911 GT3 Cup (992 generation).

The characteristic features of the 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25 also include the main racing headlights in four-stripe design. In principle, they come from the Le Mans-winning 911 RSR, but have been further developed specifically for the special model. The indicators are integrated to save space. The interior, including the welded-in safety cell, corresponds to the 911 GT2 RS Clubsport in accordance with the FIA standard. A plaque indicates the limited edition.

Gentlemen racer for over half a million euros - sold out

The Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25 was offered in an edition of only 30 copies. But the circuit fun wanted to be paid for with 525,000 euros plus taxes. It was possible to order from the end of May 2022. If you haven't already done so, you can save yourself further attempts, because all 30 copies are already sold out. Anyone who has got hold of one can look forward to delivery from January 2023.

Manthey and Porsche have jointly launched an exclusive track day racing car based on the 911. Only 30 examples of the circuit racer will be built. Anyone wanting to get behind the wheel had to have more than half a million euros ready. Apparently there were enough customers, because Clubsport 25 is sold out.
