Porsche is launching the 718 Cayman and Boxster as a Style Edition with exclusive design features. Thanks to the equipment, the edition even offers a price advantage. Of course, the edition models are still more expensive.
As the saying goes, "You can't buy style". Porsche proves that this maxim does not apply to "style" - at least when you couple this "style" to a 718 Cayman or Boxster model. Then you can very well buy it for at least 66,487 euros (Cayman) or 68,510 euros (Boxster). The new equipment variants are both around 7,000 euros above the base price for the respective four-cylinder model with 300 hp. The question remains, what's for the money? ,
First of all, of course, it's about the optics. The extrovert star ruby Neo, which the Boxster wears in the pictures here, is not exclusive to the 718 Style Edition. However, the exterior contrast packages in white or black do. These include a sticker on the front hood and the sides of the vehicle, as well as the color of the rims and model logos. The Boxster also has a model-specific embossing on the soft top.

Incidentally, Porsche chose the 20-inch 718 Spyder wheels for the rim design, which are otherwise not available for the four-cylinder model. The same applies to the combination of black leather interior with light contrasting stitching, which is also reserved for the Style Edition within the series, unless you want to bother the Exclusive Manufactory. ,
In addition to the design features, Porsche refers to the scope of the standard equipment. Style customers get black sports tailpipes (not to be confused with the sports exhaust system), a reversing camera, seat heating, steering wheel heating and 2-zone automatic air conditioning ex works. Sounds like the manufacturer wants to encourage drivers to use these vehicles all year round. With regard to the Style Edition surcharge, the Zuffenhausen-based company speaks of a price advantage of eight to 10 percent compared to four-cylinder models with comparable equipment, which is confirmed by a quick trip to the configurator. If you put together a Cayman of almost the same level, you end up with a price of just over 72,000 euros. The Style Edition will be available from retailers from February 2023 and can be ordered now.
