Subscriptions & booklets

D ie information on the side of the Czech super sports car Mosquito are sparse, the name martial: the super sports car is named after the fastest airplane of World War II - that's how the manufacturer explains it. He confidently declares that anyone can build a sports car with more than 1,000 hp, but that this is not the Mosquito's claim.

Light and fast

It should be light - and faster than its competitors. The curb weight of the car built on a carbon chassis is given as 974 kilograms, the engine output of the naturally aspirated V8 engine is 600 hp. The Mosquito should accelerate from zero to 100 km /h in 2.9 seconds, and it should go at a maximum of 320 km /h. Little is known about the engine, the only thing that is known about the transmission is that it has six gears and shift paddles. A manual transmission is ruled out. The front tires are 27/65 R18, while the rear axle has 31/71 R18 tires. The body is 4.42 meters long and 1.98 meters wide, but only 1.08 meters high. The 18 cars that Mosquito wants to build should all look different.
