Mini Facelift Mazda MX-5 (2022)

Mazda is revising the MX-5 (ND) for the 2022 model year and giving the Roadster and the RF more technology and a special model.

Visually, the Japanese car manufacturer is sticking with the familiar design and only adding the Platinum Quartz Metallic finish to the paint selection. The Kinematic Posture Control (KPC) finds its way under the body. When turning, the system activates the rear wheel brake on the inside of the curve, which causes the wheel to deflect and is intended to ensure reduced body roll and thus improved driving stability.

Kinenbi special model with color accents

In addition, Mazda is now offering the Kinenbi special model. The Roadster impresses with a blue fabric hood, the RF comes with a black roof center section. Inside, the special model offers nappa leather interior in terracotta. The extras of the i-Activsense package are also on board as standard.

The Advantage special model remains available. It combines the 132 hp 1.5 liter Skyactiv G petrol engine with safety and comfort features. In addition to the standard equipment, rear parking assistance (RCTA), dynamic cornering lights (AFS), an SD navigation system, rear parking sensors and Lane Change Assist Plus (BSM) are also on board.

Conclusion

Mazda gives the MX5 and the MX-5 RF a new driving dynamics system that is intended to reduce body roll when cornering. There is also a new paint color and a special model.
