No other engine has ever screamed like this

One thing first: The wonderful Matra sports cars definitely deserved a magnificently designed, page-long book printed on the best paper - with a slipcase, of course. Until something like this appears, fans will have to be content with this 128-page booklet by Ed McDonough. It contains at least the complete history of the development of the Matra sports car from the beginnings in the sixties - at that time still with V8 engines from BRM and then Ford - to the company's own three-liter V12.

D he won the M 670 with the V12 in 1972, 1973 and 1974 Le Mans - and even if all Ferrari fans are now crying out loud: no other V12 has ever screamed like the Matra engine. The book from the WSC Giants series has been published by Veloce and is available for 19.90 euros from racingwebshop.com, Tel. 0 22 03/9 24 25 70.
