That there is an intersection of fans of aviation and fans of extremely potent sports cars seems logical. Lamborghini has also recognized this, and with the H uracán Avio presented a special model for this very occasion at the Geneva Motor Show 2016. The Avio, which pays tribute to aviation with its name, colors and materials, was limited to just 250 copies. From a purely technical point of view, the 610 hp ten-cylinder naturally aspirated engine remained unchanged - and this is where Luethen Motorsport comes into play.
No, not because they adjusted the performance, but because they followed the same scheme. The performance of the Italo sports car remains at the astronomical level. Markus Lüthen's team has created a carbon aerodynamics package for the Avio, with which the ten-cylinder wedge looks even more like a fighter jet than before.
Inspiration from the Italian Air Force
The abbreviation LSR (Luethen Sport Race) conceals a two-part front splitter, canard spoiler, side splitter with winglets and a large adjustable rear wing. There are also forged wheels in 20 inches for the front axle and 21 inches for the rear. The carbon fiber add-on parts cut a particularly good figure in combination with the “Verde Turbine” exterior color. Speaking of colors: there are five of them, each combined with double stripes and accents in white or gray. The names of the colors (Grigio Falco, Blu Grifo, Grigio Nibbio, Grigio Vulcano and Verde Turbine) are derived - in accordance with the aviation motto - from the Italian coat of armsAir Force Academy.
If you happen to not be in possession of a special Avio model and only have a commercially available LP 610-4 or LP 580-2, no problem either. At least you can still have the aero kit from Luethen Motorsport. If you want to keep your eyes open for a limited original: A good used car costs at least 210,000 euros. Without tuning.
