Jaguar F-Type 75 and 75 R: Farewell V8 editions

Jaguar is sweetening the last F-Type model year with special models. They always come with a V8 under the hood and as a coupe and convertible.

2023 will be a very special year for the British car manufacturer Jaguar. The 75th brand birthday is celebrated and at the end of the year the sports car segment is said goodbye, because then the F-Type will be discontinued without a successor. In order to sweeten the farewell for fans, the F-Type is allowed to play again in the form of two V8 special models.,

The special editions F-Type 75 and F-Type 75 R, which will be rolling out to dealers in early 2023, will be available as a coupé and cabriolet as well as with the supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engines with 450 or 575 hp. With the F-Type 75, customers can choose between rear or all-wheel drive. The F-Type 75 R always digs into the asphalt with four driven wheels.

Added to the exterior and interior

Unique interior and exterior design elements make the 75 models special, including the Black Pack design package, sports seats in Windsor leather, a headliner in black premium velor and stainless steel - Door sills. Discreet emblems sit on the front fenders, tracing the silhouette of the F-Type. Another silhouette motif can be found on the center console.

The 20-inch five-spoke rims for the F-Type 75 score with their glossy black finish; on the ten-spoke forged wheel of the F-Type 75 R, they are also diamond-turned. In addition, the four-pipe exhaust system of the R bears embossed R branding. Jaguar has perfected the chassis of the F-Type 75 and 75 R on the rear axle by using particularly light and at the same time very rigid steering knuckles made of die-cast aluminum and larger wheel bearings. The 75 R also has modified upper ball joints, which are intended to increase camber and track consistency. Ceramic stoppers are also optionally available for the R.,

If you don't want the F-Type as a V8 special model, the only alternative left is the four-cylinder P300 in the R Dynamic equipment with rear-wheel drive and 300 hp. Jaguar is now accepting orders for the latest model year of the F-Type. The F-Type 75 convertible with rear-wheel drive is available from 113,000 euros, all-wheel drive costs 6,300 euros extra. The R variant is priced at 141,800 euros. In the coupé form with rear-wheel drive, the F-Type 75 costs from 105,500 euros. The all-wheel drive coincides with that of the convertible. The 75 R as a coupé is listed at at least 134,300 euros. The four-cylinders cost 72,100 and 79,600 euros respectively.,

Conclusion

Jaguar tightens the offer in the last model year of the F-Type. Only two V8 special models and a four-cylinder are still available. After 75 years, sports car construction at Jaguar ends. The future of the brand is clearly in electromobility. Will there still be room for a new sports car? We will see.
