Ford Mustang world record
Subscriptions & booklets

S o There have never been many Ford Mustang models in one place: Mustang owners from all over Europe met on September 7th at the Ford test site in Lommel, Belgium, and drove onto the test track with 1,326 models of the legendary sports car. They have thus set a new world record for the largest number of vehicles at a Mustang meeting and clearly surpassed the previous record of December 3, 2017 with 960 vehicles in Toluca (Mexico). At the world record parade in Lommel, all series of the classic sports car have been represented since its market launch in 1964.

Belgians are Mustang fans

There are more Mustang models per capita in Belgium sold than in any other European country, which made the Ford test site in Lommel the ideal location for the world record attempt. In the 55th year of production, the Ford Mustang was the best-selling sports coupé in the world for the fourth time in a row. Sales continued to rise in the first half of 2019 with 5,500 sales in Europe, 3.7 percent more than in the same period of the previous year.
