Engler brings a further development of the FF with the Desat. Even that was a real super quad with 1,110 hp.
Imagine crossing an Audi R8 with a motorcycle and breathing a lot, an incredible amount of power into the whole concept. Then you will probably end up where Victor Engler landed with his Desat Superquad.,
What else is to come?
The first version, called FF at the time, was presented at the end of 2020. At the end of August, Engler added the first evolutionary stage with the Desat. In the run-up, numerous teaser images and only a few pieces of information should keep the audience interested. However, these show nothing that could not already be seen on the Engler FF. The two passengers sit one behind the other as if on a motorcycle. The pilot grabs a handlebar instead of a steering wheel. Apart from a small pane, there is no wind or weather protection. This is also known from commercial quads.,
Engler adapted the entire substructure of the carbon fiber body from the modular sports car platform (MSA) from Audi. Likewise the 5.2 liter V10 engine, which sits behind the two passengers. In the FF, the V10 already delivered 1,110 hp, which weighed just 1,100 kilograms. Engler promises even more driving dynamics for the Desat. Power is transmitted to all four wheels by a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission – also from Audi. The FF is said to reach 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, with a top speed of 350 km/h.
What the Desat will really have ahead of the FF will probably only be revealed when it premieres at the end of August. Even as FF, the Engler Superquad could not be attested to have any real defects.,
Conclusion
Even more driving dynamics for a quad concept that already seems overpowered with a V10 engine with over 1,100 hp - sounds like an absolutely crazy idea. It will be interesting to see what values the Desat version of the Engler Superquad will impress with.
