V 50 years ago the James Bond film 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' was made with George Lazenby as James Bond and Telly Savalas as the villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld. Aston Martin, firmly anchored in the James Bond world with product placements for decades, is using this anniversary to launch a special model. Behind the slightly longer model name 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service DBS Superleggera special edition' hides an olive green painted DBS Superleggera with special features. The special model is intended to be reminiscent of the 1968 Aston Martin DBS Vantage, who helped James Bond in the 1969 film to save the world from the extortionate Blofeld.
On the drive side, the special model corresponds to the production vehicle - after all, the base is not stingy With potency: 725 PS from a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 and a maximum torque of 900 Newton meters between 1,800 and 5,000 rpm make the British athlete up to 340 km /h, and 100 km in 3.6 seconds /h reached.
A little red and a lot of champagne
The special model gets diamond-turned forged wheels and a special metal front grille with six horizontal slats, which is supposed to be reminiscent of the original film car. The customer gets into the interior via door sills with a 007 OHMSS stainless steel badge, the abbreviation for 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service'. Inside, black leather and gray Alcantara are used as cover materials - the inspiration for this mix of tones was again provided by the original car from 1968. There are also many red accents, for example on the “plus” and “minus” signs on the carbon gear levers - here According to the manufacturer, the original was inspired by the red-lined glove compartment of the original, in which James Bond kept his retractable rifle with a telescopic sight.

The buyers of the edition model can order a bespoke black champagne box with their Superleggera. The tingling reservoir, which is closed with a metal clasp and lined with red felt, holds two champagne bottles and four champagne flutes.
Limited and expensive
It has to be - finally two quotes the original press release on the edition model: '... the new models will raise the ominous street presence of the DBS Superleggera to a new level of brutal elegance.' In addition, Marek Reichman, Vice President and Chief Creative Officer of Aston Martin is quoted: '... the olive green gives it one Delicacy that slandered the beast underneath. '
