Suzuki Swift, SX4 and Vitara

D he new hybrid variant combines a 1.4 liter turbo gasoline engine with a 48-volt mild hybrid system. The power is specified with 129 hp and 235 Nm torque. The hybrid system includes an integrated starter generator with 10 kW output and a 48-volt lithium-ion battery. The electric motor is supposed to support the combustion engine when starting and accelerating and shoveling up the turbo lag. Suzuki promises fuel savings of up to 21 percent.
For the Vitara and SX4 S-Cross models, the Japanese give a standard consumption of 4.6 liters, the Swift Sport is given as 4.7 liters.

In addition to the new engines, the Vitara and Swift Sport also have expanded standard equipment for the new model year. The SUV gets redesigned LED headlights, the small Swift is upgraded with a blind spot assistant, traffic sign recognition and a parking assistant.
The new Vitara is now available at prices starting at 23,650 euros. The SX4 S-Cross starts in mid-March and costs from 24,740 euros. The refreshed Swift will follow in April and will cost from 23,800 euros.
