Now, for the Geneva Motor Show 2019 in spring, Smart is upping the ante - with a '+'. This plus is explained quite quickly. Because the Forease + 'offers', says Smart, 'a plus for all weather conditions in urban metropolises' - in other words: The study now has a * drum roll * roof.

And if you haven't discovered it on the first teaser picture should have, the hashtag #rooflove - i.e. roof love - hits the viewer with its nose.

LED + yellow + roof equals “+”

And this nose is just like the rest of the model almost identical to the study from Paris. The Forease + has no side windows, a spoiler element is emblazoned on the rear and the windshield has been shortened. The headlights are not behind glass, but have three vertical LED elements. Additional square lights are also housed in the front apron. A contoured apron with different colored openings also characterizes the front.

The rear features a diffuser, a narrow flap and three-dimensional LED lights. They are housed under a glass cover andchange their graphics depending on the perspective. In the side view, the aerodynamic light alloy wheels with yellow color applications stand out.

The '+', uh, the roof spans the heads of the two passengers and the rear roll bars. It consists of a lightweight, removable plastic shell with a fabric cover.

The future won't be boring

The designer chose another cover for the interior: nappa leather in yellow adorns the dashboard. The yellow loudspeaker frames between the front seats and the illuminated belt outlet openings also create further contrasts. The seats are covered with a combination of black nappa leather, microfiber and fabric for the seat surfaces. Smart covers the steering wheel, door rails and beltlines with microfiber in anthracite, while the door center panels are again made of nappa leather.

The Smart Forease + is based on the production model Smart EQ Fortwo Cabrio and is not planned as a production model. Smart just wants to point out its electric strategy and show that the smart future will not be boring. But who knows, maybe the Forease + will inherit the Crossblade in a small series. #waerechic
