Mini celebrates 30 years of Mini Cabrio. To mark the anniversary, the Seaside Edition special model is being rolled out, which is based on a maritime reference.
Sometimes you have to talk yourself into the reasons for a celebration. BMW is celebrating 30 years of the Mini Cabrio with the Mini brand. The Mini from BMW did not start until 2001, but the first Mini Cabrio made its debut in the pre-BMW era in 1993. Blue like the sea, white like the beach
For this anniversary, the Mini Cabrio is rolling out in the Seaside Edition, because an open car also goes well with the sun, beach and sea. The special edition will be available from February 2023 in the body colors Caribbean Aqua and Nanuq White as well as other exclusive design and equipment features.
In addition to the special paint finish, white double decorative stripes run from the side doors to the rear of the vehicle on the blue variant. There is also an anniversary graphic in the form of a stylized 30 on the front apron and a white tank cap. The white variant is solid white. As a further reference to the anniversary, the side scuttles bear Seaside lettering in graphically designed numbers in light and dark blue. The Seaside lettering on the rear, on the other hand, is orange. The number 30 also dominates the hub caps on the 18-inch special light-alloy rims. ,
The interior offers mini fans door sills in the edition design with two white stripes and Seaside lettering, as well as black leather interior that is combined with edition applications and special floor mats. Another option for placing the Seaside lettering was found on the sports steering wheel.
The special models are available either as a Cooper with the 136 hp three-cylinder turbo petrol engine or as a Cooper S with a 178 hp turbo four-cylinder petrol engine.
However, Mini has not yet announced prices. A conventional Mini Cooper Cabrio currently starts at 32,400 euros, the Coper S variant from 36,800 euros. ,
