AC Schnitzer wrestles the four-cylinder 265 HP and 390 Nm. In series production, the engine in the JCW produces 231 hp and 320 Nm. The muscle growth is also reflected in the acceleration values. According to the manufacturer, the AC Schnitzer Mini John Cooper Works sprints to country road speed in 5.9 seconds. So two tenths faster than the series. The difference becomes clearer in the elasticity test. Between 80 and 180 km /h, the Schnitzer version should unbutton the factory JCW for 2.5 seconds (10.4 to 12.9 seconds).
The tuner lowers the front for better handling in curves with new springs by 20 to 30 mm. In the rear, the Mini is lowered by 25 to 35 mm. 19-inch alloy wheels with 215/35 R19 tires front and rear maintain contact with the road.
The Schnitzer-Mini is articulated with a new silencer system. It is available in three versions - each with valve control and different exhaust covers. Another visual feature is the front splitter, which is intended to reduce lift on the front axle. Schnitzer also equips the Mini with a black film strip on the flank and a rear apron protective film.
The interior is also upgraded in tuner style. For example with a new switch button, aluminum pedals and floor mats.
