N also at the last VLN run was rather calm, the fans can look forward to two real hits for the fourth race. Both the Lexus RC F and the Mercedes AMG GT are taking part in a Nordschleife race for the first time. Both start in the SP-X class.

Frey, Farnbacher and Mercedes-Test-Team

The Lexus RC F was already doing its laps in the test for the last run, but it came not used on Saturday. This time the Japanese will be tested under racing conditions by the two teams from Switzerland and Germany. Lorenz Frey, Markus Oestreich and Jordan Tresson take the wheel for the Emil Frey Racing team. Farnbacher Racing sends the brothers Dominik and Mario Farnbacher into the race, who are racing together for the first time in a car.

At Mercedes, the first outing of the AMG GT is not abandoned. The own Mercedes AMG test team will look after the new GT3 racer. Only experienced Mercedes drivers sit at the steering wheel. Bernd Schneider, Jan Seyffarth and Thomas J├Ąger share the work in the 4-hour race.

Comeback of Kentenich

The probability that the two newcomers will have a chance on the podium, is big. Because the GT3 competition is limited. With seven cars, the SP9 class remains manageable. However, with Falken-Motorsport, Rowe Racing and Phoenix Racing, three big names that were missing from the last race have returned.

Speaking of missing: Niclas Kentenich, who was injured in a serious accident in the first race, returns to the Nordschleife. He competes in the Cup Porsche together with Marc Hennerici and Christian Menzel. 'My injuries have healed very well, I have no pain, I feel good and I can hardly wait to race again,' he told his fans on Facebook.

There are a total of 136 starters in the preliminary list of participants. A heat battle awaits you. Even the Eifel is showing itself to be summery this weekend with a forecast of 34 degrees Celsius for the race Saturday.
