W uring many racing series already celebrate their season finale, the VLN endurance championship traditionally experiences an upswing in autumn. Because many works teams have already focused their full concentration on the 24-hour race in the coming year.

want 6h winners Repeat success

These include Bentley and Mercedes, among others. As in the previous year, the British field the Continental GT3, which is occupied by the British with Guy Smith and Steven Kane. After the debut of the new AMG GT, Mercedes is returning to the Nordschleife once again and has Thomas Jäger, Yelmer Buurman and Jan Seyffarth collect more test kilometers in the SP-X class.

The best preparation are the colleagues from Black Falcon. Most recently Hubert Haupt, Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al Faisal, Adam Christodoulou and Manuel Metzger clinched victory in the 6h race. This time you will again have competition from some Nordschleife specialists.

These include the Falken-Porsche, the Haribo-Mercedes and the Frikadelli-Porsche. The Walkenhorst BMW Z4 GT3 with Dunlop tires should also be one of the favorites. Also not to be underestimated: The new line-up of the Car Collection Mercedes SLS with Kenneth Heyer, Lance-David Arnold and Tim Scheerbarth at the wheel. 'The podium should definitely be possible for us. And when you say something like that, you usually look up to the top,' says Arnold.

Groneck brothers lead VLN rankings

In terms of championship, too, things are now entering the hot phase. Tim and Dirk Groneck are currently leading the score with their Renault Clio. The brothers are old hands when it comes to title fight, most recently they won the trophy in 2013.
