E a trip to the Nürburgring is always worth the trip . Especially when the legendary 24-hour race on the 25.378-kilometer circuit is on the agenda. Motorsport air is breathed all year round in the Eifel. And when the 24-hour marathon is held, the smell of French fries and sausages as well as exhaust fumes will waft into your nose.

Audi with four new R8 LMS at the Nürburgring

On Wednesday (May 13th) The Nürburgring was still rather leisurely. That will change in the course of the next few days. At the latest with the top 30 qualifying on Friday evening and the start of the race on Saturday at 4 p.m. As always, participants must keep an eye on the sky. The famous Eifel weather has thrown many a 24-hour race up and down. On Wednesday the sun was shining before the wind picked up and clouds drifted over the Nürburgring.

The teams were busy loading and assembling their cars. New in the paddock: the WTCC racers, who make themselves comfortable next to the participating vehicles in the 24h race.

During our foray through the paddock, we were able to take some interesting photos. For example from the new Audi R8 LMS, which is used a total of four times. Including from last year's winner quartet Christopher Haase, Christian Mamerow, René Rast and Markus Winkelhock.

In our photo show we have collected the best pictures from Wednesday for you.
