Since the engines are approved for the FIA ​​GT1 World Championship, Nissan also uses a 5.6 liter V8 for the GT-R in the racing version 600 HP and a maximum torque of 650 Nm. This guarantees more than enough propulsion to accelerate the 1,250 kilogram athlete. It is shifted with a six-speed racing transmission. The drive comes exclusively from the rear wheels.

The findings from the development year 2009 were implemented under the sheet metal cover. The center of gravity has been lowered and the weight distribution shifted further towards the rear. New wheel suspensions and a new brake system with six-piston calipers and carbon discs round off the technology package. The aerodynamics have also been revised. The bonnet vents and a redesigned rear end are new.

FIA GT1 World Championship starts in Abu Dhabi

The new Japan racer from Nissan sports department Nismo will be used by the two teams Sumo Power GT and the Swiss Racing Team. Peter Dumbreck and Michael Krumm take the wheel for sumo, while Karl Wendlinger and Henri Moser are set for the Swiss Racing Team. The driver pairing for the other two cars of the teams has not yet been determined.
