First Mercedes test for Mortara in Jerez

According to information from MOTORSPORT aktuell, Mortara will be in the DTM Mercedes for the first time as part of the Young Driver Test in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain (November 29th to December 2nd). The 29-year-old Italo-Swiss, who narrowly missed the title by 4 points this year, will receive one of only 6 cockpits for the 2017 season with the Stuttgart team. The number of cars in the DTM has been known to have increased from 24 to 18 reduced.

Mortara is already the second driver after Timo Scheider who will no longer compete for the Ingolstadt team in 2017. The last time there was a change within the DTM was in December 2012, when Jamie Green chose the opposite path and switched from Mercedes to Audi at the beginning of the 2013 season.

Before the DTM test, Mortara will contest again for his current one Audi as an employer made a works assignment at the FIA ​​GT World Cup in Macau /China.
